Damen offers a large range of own dredge pumps, from low-pressure high volume dredge pumps fit for, for instance, barge loading to high-pressure restricted volume dredge pumps for delivering spoil on long discharge lines. All Damen dredge pumps are designed by the in-house R&D department. Each new of redesigned dredge pump is tested, resulting in its proper QH graph. Damen has developed dredge pump production software, named ProDredge, in which the Damen dredge pumps can be entered showing their excellent production on your dredging job.
ProDredge does not only show the QH curve in water, but also in silt, sand or gravel – depending on the in situ material found at your job site. Together with the piping curve - exactly as per your dredge pipe configuration - a working point is determined. Adjacent graphs show power, efficiency and NPSH – all you need to know for your tool at each different dredging job.
When you buy your Damen dredging tool, Damen delivers the specific QH graph with it. In the near future, you will be able to conclude a service contract, on which you can log on to this website. You will then be able to do your own performance calculations on each and every new jobsite.
